Ko-Mats supplied thousands of ground protection mats for the BorWin6 project by TenneT and Nexans, contributing to a reliable offshore grid connection as part of Germany’s energy transition. With a transmission capacity of 980 MW and a cable route of approximately 45 km, BorWin6 provides a low-loss link between North Sea wind farms and the German high-voltage grid.
Our reusable mats offer optimal ground protection, ensure safe crossings over soft or sensitive terrain, and enable on-time execution even under challenging seabed and weather conditions. Thanks to our efficient site logistics and close collaboration with contractors like Bohlen & Doyen Bau GmbH, downtime is minimized and CO₂ emissions are reduced.
