Ko-Mats is located just across the border in Bad Bentheim, Germany. In our own production facility, we manufacture crane mats in lengths from 3 metres to 8 metres. We supply the mats in three different thicknesses (100, 150 or 200 millimetres) and in a width of 1 metre. We source the timber from Dutch suppliers in Africa and it is certified, top-quality Azobé. AUTOMATED PRODUCTION
What is unique about Ko-Mats’ production process is the fact that the dragline partitions are machined with a large router and produced fully automatically. Mike: “The stitching groove and the bevels on the end edges are also realized with the milling machine, which simply looks much neater. We deliver all our dragline partitions nicely planed, in such a way that there is no difference in thickness or length between the partitions. The fact that we have a huge stock also means that we can deliver very quickly. Certainly a plus in the infra world, where the terrain can change considerably in a short time due to changing weather conditions.”
In addition to selling dragline bulkheads, Ko-Mats also has a rental fleet for Germany in particular. “In the Benelux we supply our bulkheads mainly to pile driving and construction companies and also supply various rental companies. Transport for both purchase and rental is provided by regular partners. If necessary, they can also take care of loading and unloading.”
